A Golden Retriever at the Museum: The Sculpture

A Golden Retriever at the Museum: The Sculpture
The next chapter in the Museum Series.
More than a decade after creating A Golden Retriever at the Museum, artist Tom Mosser returns to the golden retriever that started it all—Lucas.
In this new work, Lucas quietly studies a monumental tennis ball sculpture, transforming the familiar Museum Series experience into something entirely new. Rather than gazing at a painting, he now stands before a larger-than-life sculpture, inviting viewers to pause, wonder, and perhaps smile at the simple joy of seeing an everyday object elevated into art.
Inspired by Lucas, whose curiosity launched the original Museum Series, A Golden Retriever at the Museum: The Sculpture continues the tradition of celebrating the unique bond between dogs, art, and the people who love them.
